Best Type of Apple Cider Vinegar

Ladies, did you know that apple cider vinegar is widely known for its culinary as well as medicinal uses.  For thousands of years people have used it for everything from treating diabetes to cleaning wounds to lowering blood pressure.  It could almost be considered a miracle cure in some ways, because of its effectiveness in battling so many ailments while also contributing to the overall health of those who use it regularly.

Alas, like many other things on the market, not all brands and types of apple cider vinegar are made the same.  There are definitely things to be kept in mind to ensure that you are only purchasing the highest quality apple cider vinegar.

The grocery industry likes to present products that are aesthetically appealing to the consumer.  For this reason you will find brands in your local stores that offer pasteurized and distilled versions of apple cider vinegar.  While they may look prettier on the outside, they are definitely not better on the inside.  The pasteurization and distilling processes create a subpar product that has had much of its health benefits destroyed.

The pasteurization process also eliminates what is known as “the mother” – a stringy, brown substance that forms from the naturally occurring pectin and apple residue.  “The mother” contains many additional enzymes and minerals that are not found in the heavily processed vinegars.

Another point to consider is whether the apples used in making the vinegar are organic or not.  Whole, organically grown apples not only add far greater health properties but they are also grown without the use of pesticides and other toxic chemicals that should not be consumed by anyone.  Fortunately it is easy to spot whether your bottle of apple cider vinegar has been made from organic apples.  There will be a label that clearly indicates that the product is in fact organic.

For the sake of convenience, the market also offers apple cider vinegar in a tablet or capsule form.  While it may save time to take a pill, it will not do as much good as the liquid form of apple cider vinegar.  The creation of these tablets means a considerable amount of extra processing which robs it of many of the nutrients for which a person takes it in the first place.  Stick with the natural liquid form and you will not go wrong.

Incorporating Apple Cider Vinegar Into Your Diet

With all of the health benefits that come with the use of apple cider vinegar, the decision to incorporate it into your diet on a daily basis is a smart goal.  At first it can seem a little difficult to think of ways to add it, especially every day.  Fortunately, with a little creative thinking, it is not that hard to do.

As part of a healthy diet, salads should be eaten regularly.  They are loaded with vitamins and nutrients along with adding fiber.  Apple cider vinegar makes a great salad dressing.  With its strong taste, not much is needed for flavor.  You can also add it to homemade mayonnaise for an extra kick.

Preparing various meats such as steak or chicken often call for a marinade.  Skip the store bought variety and make a homemade concoction.  Adding apple cider vinegar to the mix will give the meat a delicious taste.

Indigestion and stomach troubles are a frequent ailment that many people complain about.  They can occur for a variety of reasons and no one likes them.  Rather than using a commercially made solution, apple cider vinegar can provide much needed relief.  Add two teaspoons to distilled water along with some fresh ginger to create an effective treatment.  The pectin and the antibiotic properties of the apple cider vinegar contribute greatly to soothing the stomach.

Using fresh fruits and vegetables to create homemade juices is a much healthier option than buying the conventionally made juices that are available at the local grocery store.  They have far more vitamins and have not gone through any pasteurization or distilling processes.  Adding a small amount of apple cider vinegar kicks it up a notch.

Exercise should be a regular part of any healthy lifestyle.  It provides countless benefits such as weight loss, stress relief and keeps the body physically fit.  Sometimes, however, a person can experience fatigue after a workout.  Apple cider vinegar can help with that as well.  Adding a few drops to a bottle of water can give up much needed energy boost and is also one more way to add it to your diet.

Another great tip that can really help jump start your weight loss efforts is this. Drink one 8 oz. glass of warm water, with the juice of half a fresh lemon and 1 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar. If you find this a little too strong, start with 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar and work up from there.  The lemon juice helps to clean out and detox your liver, which in turn helps to remove unwanted toxins from your body.

Ladies, these are just some of the ways that apple cider vinegar can be added into your daily diet.  Using just a little here and a little there without changing your routine means it will not be difficult at all to add to your daily diet.
