An awakening has happened, no pun intended, regarding the importance of sleep. Sometimes referred to as the “sleep revolution,” people are realizing the necessity of a good night’s sleep.
Impaired sleep and insomnia can be extremely detrimental to our bodies. The repercussions of sleeping less than five solid hours per night can begin as fatigue, moodiness, and impaired cognitive response, i.e brain fog and slow thinking as well as iomparied creativity. These can quickly escalate into more serious health conditions like weight gain, weakened immune system, high blood pressure, depression, and anxiety.
There are remedies for nearly everything today; impaired sleep and insomnia included. Ladies, you can easily find pills at your local drugstore or ask your medical provider for a prescription sleep aid; however, a lot of these can leave you feeling even more sleepy or fatigued the next day.
Luckily, there are many natural options to help you fall and remain asleep. Herbs, essential oils, bedroom plants, and meditation are all ways to assist with better sleep and offer little to no side effects and that’s what we are talking about today.
