According to the 11th Revision of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11), burnout is an occupational phenomenon.
Burnout stems from chronic stress (commonly in the workplace), that has not been managed. It has three dimensions:
“Burn-out refers specifically to phenomena in the occupational context and even though it should not be applied to describe experiences in other areas of life,” I feel that it can and does spill over and affect other areas of our lives.
In today’s episode we are going to look at 10 signs and symptoms of burnout and then look at some strategies to help with it.
